Scottish pop star MacDonald apologises for forgetting words to national anthem

Pop singer Amy MacDonald has apologised to Scotland football fans after forgetting the words to the country's national anthem Flower of Scotland.
MacDonald, 25, confessed she let nerves get the better of her before singing to over 40,000 fans at Scotland's World Cup qualifying match with Wales on Friday night in Glasgow.
The This is the Life singer said on Twitter: “I know the words but don’t know anyone who could go on to a pitch in front of 40k and not get nervous. Sorry, I’m not perfect.
"Always so proud to sing our anthem. Sorry for nerves — hope passion came across.”
The night continued on a downward trend with Scotland losing to 2-1 at Hampden Park to extend their winless run to six matches in competitive fixtures.
McDonald also had problems with the national anthem before Scotland played Liechtenstein at Hampden in September 2010.
